The story of Jan
Dear people, I would like to share my journey with you because of my neglected concussion to help other fellow sufferers in the Netherlands!
Many fellow sufferers nowadays go to America because of a neglected concussion of burnout because you are not really well helped in the Netherlands from being sent from the box to the wall. Take some rest and a pill!
Unfortunately, too little is known about Move the Brain in the Netherlands! See www.movethebrain.nl
After a year of complaints, including headaches, dizziness, neck complaints, stimuli from light, talking colleagues and screens, I am able to resume my life thanks to Move the Brain in Zeist!
In January 2019 I bumped my head against a glass door at a customer, bursting at it!
Despite the blow I went back to the office and still went home an hour earlier because of headaches and dizziness.
Once at home a paracetamol and ibruprofen taken. The next day I was still dizzy and had a headache. I called my supervisor that I was allowed to work at home because I wasn’t feeling well.
After a week of worrying I even went to the doctor to consult and it was found that I had a concussion and had to take a rest and occasionally take medication.
After two weeks I went back to work, Jan did not come nagging and to work, that is mine! And that’s how many people think, loyal to the company.
During the year I often came home tired and often had to sleep to be fit in the evening, during the summer holidays I slept a lot and suffered from stimuli.
In short, the symptoms returned. I made the same complaints back around December 2019. Headache, neck complaints, dizziness, stimuli from light, talking colleagues and screens and I indicated to take it a bit easier.
In consultation with my supervisor, I started working for four hours throughout the day in order to be able to rest in between, in the end the complaints only increased!
A week later I was reported 100% sick, it only got worse with the complaints.
Thanks to my football past and scouting at Fc Utrecht, I met Rianne Schorrel 10 years ago.
Rianne was a professional football player at ADO Den Haag and got a ball in the head during a match, resulting in a concussion. It took 10 years for her to be free of complaints. Finally through Neurotrainings in America and support from her twin sister Nanja, she is old Rianne again!
To help fellow sufferers, Rianne and Nanja, with the help of American Neuro specialists, a team of pysologists and trainers, created a program and founded Move the Brain six months ago. I followed this indirectly via LinkedIn.
It is not going to happen to me for 10 years, I thought. I immediately called Rianne and luckily I could go the same week for an intake of a QEEG scan.
It showed that my front hemisphere was heavily stimulated and my visual vision was also stimulated. I was also relieved that it was confirmed and demonstrable!
After urgent consultation with my employer Warmtebouw e.g. and the company doctor was open to enter into this unknown and new treatment, so far I am very grateful!
On Monday, February 10, 2020, I started the two-week program in Zeist where you can stay the night and the weekend was allowed to go home. It is hard work on yourself but after two days I already noticed that something was happening and started to get less headache! Does it really help?
The program consists of, among other things, adjusting food, supplements, neurotraining, body-focused coaching, yoga, mindfulness / meditation, personal training, trauma coaching and discipline of yourself!
The attention that the coaches and attendees neurotrainers give you is really fantastic, they are there for you!
We were with a group of six people who became happier every day and were able to handle the stimuli again.
That is why I want to share this journey with you, firstly to help fellow sufferers and secondly to help Move the Brain to become known because they do fantastic work for fellow sufferers!
